 To go to Gouves from Heraklion you need to drive east on the new National Road to Agios Nikolaos. About 15 km from Heraklion, you will find the way out to Gouves on your right side, leaving the new National Road and reaching the old National Road to Hersonissos in about 1.5 km being on the old National Road you will see a sign for Kato Gouves (Gouves), that is when you enter the village.After entering Gouves, you turn on the first left turn you see reaching the beach road. You stay on the beach road, always facing East till you reach the chapel of Saints Constantine and Helen(which is above the sea). After 200 meters having passed the small chapel you turn on the first right turn and 90 meters away from the sea St. Constantin Village Hotel & Suites is located there.
 
 Useful information about Gouves

Gouves is a large settlement in the province of Pediados with 1220 residents and is situated in the municipality of Gouves in Heraklion county. The name means earth pit or pit in which they used to store grain in the medieval period. Located in the western foothills of the hill Enteri (322 m), whose name is thought to come from hedera, which means ivy and is a symbol of affection.

 It also is the birthplace of the Greek poet John Konstantinidis.

 Main output of the residents are olive oil, wine and vegetables (especially tomatoes), as well as grapes, melons and water melons.

 Gouves can cover all your needs, there are many hotels of all classes, many studios-apts and spaces for camping.

 On the main street you will find taverns and restaurants, with local cuisine and international cuisine, bars and cafes and several shops. You will find supermarkets, mini markets, mini golf, car rental companies, pharmacies, a medical center and ATMs. Kato Gouves have one of the most beautiful beaches for walking in Crete, Poseidon street with wide paved sidewalk with sufficient illumination, a journey of about four kilometers and runs from the West borders of Analipsi Village till the east of the campsite and the American Base in Gouves.

 There are several beaches that can cater to any taste. Some rocky areas offer more privacy, while large sandy beaches are more crowdie and popular, sun beds and umbrellas are available in almost all the beaches.
 What to do in Gouves

 You can enjoy swimming at the beach of Gouves and the adjacent coastal villages. Do you like water sports such as: water skiing, water cycling, canoeing, parasailing, banana riding, etc? They are all available in some beaches of Gouves. Also if you want to explore the depths you can join the diving center. If you like walking, it is worth visiting the seaside church of Saints Constantine and Helen in a small grove of pine trees, above the sea and maybe set up lucky if you see a wedding or baptism.

 You should not miss the biggest aquarium in Crete, in Gournes, the famous THALASSOCOSMOS. It is so close, you can even go away within half an hour from Gouves main street, walking.

 The old village in Pano Gouves and the churches all around: Saint George, Saint John, and Mary – A chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary Birth. Worth a look and drop in traditional coffee shops and discover many old houses, others restored and others still in ruins.

 The Skoteino village and its Cave, one of the largest in Crete. Some believe it was the Labyrinth of the Minotaur of Knossos.

 Knossos Palace is just 20 km away. The frequent bus service will help you visit this magnificent archaeological sightseeing.

 The city of Heraklion (the capital of Crete) is also worth visiting. The Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, the Crete History Museum and the Museum of Natural History are places you should not miss.
